Must Haves!
As you begin to use my menus, these are some of the things that you might like to have on hand. I will make reference to them often in my weekly list.
Local Honey
I only use honey as a sweeter. I use unpasteurized local honey. You will find that this kind of honey will be creamy and add depth to your recipes. It is most cost effective to find a local beekeeper and buy it directly from them.
Against All Grain Cookbooks by: Danielle Walker
I use both of these cookbooks often. In my weekly plan I will make reference to these books for the recipes if they can't be found online. She has amazing recipes for SCD and Paleo. I especially enjoy her dressing and sauces. You can find the book HERE and Here
Pinterest
Pinterest is an online web resource site. It has millions of recipes and articles. I will site my own Pinterest boards often for the recipes for many of the foods listed in my menus. You can view my boards HERE
Yogurt Maker:
I absolutely LOVE my yogurt maker!!
I make my yogurt SCD safe by fermenting it
for 24 hours. This allows for almost all of the
lactose to ferment out. Click HERE to see my favorite
Wildtree products:
My two favorite must haves in the kitchen are the Garlic Grapseed oil and the Rancher Steak Rub. I use these two things almost daily. The oil is the life to many of my vegetable dips and the Steak Rub is good on almost everything. If you don't already know a Wildtree rep, My friend Brownie Spires would be glad to get to hooked up with these yummies. You can contact her at Spires.brownie@gmail.com
Nut Bag:
There are no commercial nut milks that are SCD, Paleo or Whole 30 safe, so I make my own. It is quite a simple process, however, you will need a nut bag to strain the pulp when you are making coconut or almond milk. There are a couple of canned varieties but they are quite expensive and not the texture I usually desire for recipes.
Immersion blender:

Immersion blender:
My secret to the best soups is to use an immersion blender. This is my favorite one!
These Are a Few of My Favorite Things!!
Vitamix or blender:
I use my vitamix for making
almond and coconut milk. I also
use it for making nut butters
and salsa.
Spiraler:
I use this to make vegetable noodles.
It makes a great base for homemade spegetti sauce or
in place of any pasta. Click HERE to see my favorite.
Frittata pan:
I love to make anything into a frittata!
I use leftover vegetables and chicken or my
favorite, pizza frittata. CLick HERE to see my favorite.
